WILD WEST

I am heading to the States on Wednesday for a driving tour through New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada and California. Sugoku excited for an adventure and to escape the Melbourne freeze.

LAKE TYERS

We celebrated my Dad's sixtieth birthday with a long weekend at Lake Tyers, where he used to holiday as a child. The area was super nautical - check out the octopus on the roof of Griffith's Sea Shell Museum and the trawlers at Lakes Entrance. 

I hope you had a happy birthday, Dad!

HCP ANTIQUE EMPORIUM

After a trip to the Tarrawarra Museum of Art, I stumbled across HCP Antiques. Words cannot describe this crazy place, so I'll let the pictures do the talking. Check it out for yourself at 81 Badgers Creek Road, Healesville. Beware the angry dog.

THE RAPHS TAKE ANTARCTICA

Maybe this post marks a departure from the usual Sanpo stuff, but I could not resist bringing the cutest blog ever to your attention: Ken and Deb in Antarctica. Does my friend Isabelle have the coolest parents in the world or what? So many penguin and boat shots, swoon! I am filled with admiration for the Raphael's spirt of adventure.

BALNARRING

I went down to Balnarring at the weekend. It was perfection: the sea, a bedroom filled with vintage Vanity Fairs, a farm, simple yet extraord food and so much laughter. How I long to go back.
